Update on the Freak of Nature
After I had posted my last rant on the crazed loon that is my mother, I received the following emails. I am not exaggerating. These are simple cut and paste emails in response to my closing comment on the unrest in Mexico:
Dated Wednesday 2/2 7:37 p.m.:
Dear Ungrateful Daughter:
Here is a report from the US State Deparment regarding Mexico. Violence is typically along the US-Mexican border. At this time, I think it's safe to travel to Puerto Vallarta. I will stay on top of it. I know if there are State Department warnings, we can get our money back.
We need to be watchful and careful while we're there. But, if we do it right, we'll be ok. I wouldn't walk around at night or take public transit. At least, that's what I'm hearing. http://www.travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/tw/tw_4755.html

US Consulate
I will enroll us in the US Embassy consullate office in Puerta Vallarta. Oh yeah, I am on it!
Dated Wednesday 2/2 8:37 p.m.
I have signed up with the State Department for any travel warnings. I will monitor our trip throughout the summer. Be quiet, Amy.
Dear Freaky Mother,
Did you hear about the megavolcano that will likely hit in or around Yellowstone within the next couple of years, that will make the sky dark with smoke for over two years? We will likely have to move to South America somewhere. So, your Spanish class will serve us well.
